Thank you very much for your recent comments, they were lovely. Also I really liked Ride on as well, it's one of those poems that makes you want to punch the air with a victorious feeling. Katie :-)

Dear Colin, Thanks so much for your comment. I used to spend a lot of time at the Boston Museum of Art gazing at their wonderful collection of Monet's. What an artist. Especially loved the soft purples and greens of his water lillies. Happy weekend to you, Sharon

Newest Poem

Dahlia boy

The borders have gone over fellow gardeners mournfully cry,

Not round mine it ain't, I have plants over five feet high,

There's a riot, by my front door, with colours of every hue,

Boy I love my Dahlia's all two hundred and twenty two.

I smile when perfect strangers leaned over the street wall

And wonder why this blaze is so vibrant in Autumn fall

Pom, poms. balls, cactus some bigger than a dinner plate,

So bright, so brash so blousey, I just love them being late.

Started with cuttings in spring, fought to keep the slugs away,

Now this is my reward now wish to give them all away,

Some and take your pick, yes come and make a start,

No need for any photo,  colours inprinted in my heart.
