Thank you for your comment on His Tears Were Real. I wrote it just after we dropped my son off at school for the 1st time. It is an observation of what he and my wife were experiencing.

Veronica, I like your new photo. Your original showed your strength, beauty and compassion. This one is more "regal," but still befitting a woman of presence and personal strength. Cheers!

Consumed by idyllic love and jilted, when the whole world seemed bliss, can bring , like a thunder bolt, desaster and pain to a greaving soul. Oh! how hard to escape that world we knew. Your poem saps into the soul of lovers causing them to think of the possibilities of outcomes, hopping, and dreaming for the best.

Newest Poem

"Waste not yourself in illusions"

Peer into the pool of water so still

Reflections of fate, future or past

It capitivates and decieves

Accept the matriarch you`ve grown to be

Not the echo of the youth you once knew

Seek not the truth,

simply cease cherishing the illusions
