10am = 3 pm
10am = 3 pm

She talked to me at ten o'clock, I talked to her at three

But that was just because the time is different over seas

Modern communications make for much faster ways to meet

But sometimes makes it hard to know which term to use to greet

They talked to me at six pm out in the Phillipines

Whilst I was taking time out for elevenses it seems

My dear friend Joy in Australia is moving house next week

And while all that is going on down there I'm bound to be asleep

In times long gone I sometimes wrote and sent the mail by sea

For in those days snails cruised the world with letters comfortably

And if the price of oil and gas is doomed to rise and rise

Paper mail will finally find it's death throes are caused by price

So put your pen to paper and give it one last try

For with fingerprint recognition soon our signatures will die

What future for Calligraphy in a world where dots are sent

Hurtling round the world in waves with little money spent

Perhaps in future as in past that skill will be retained

By just the priests and learned men who kept what they had gained

For yes it does take many hours to master skills like that

And just think if you use your pc you could spend those all in  chat

Cheers Colin - I dug this one out again after trying to maintain simultaneous chat conversations with friends in 3 different time zones, lol. Best wishes
