Tomorrow when I leave
to go back to my home
I will think of you
 America.

Just ninety days ago
I stepped upon your soil
and felt like any stranger
would in foreign lands.
I came with strong misgivings
and beliefs yet quite unproven
and thought that mostly people
were types who do not care.

But through the days that followed
I came to know much more
and chanced to meet more people
so considerate so warm yet  'cool'.
The life here differs much
no doubt from my own land
but human blood is common
and heeds to human call.
And just like there's variety
just anywhere you go
So is there varying natures
of persons not of Race.
No doubt that there is progress
but there is despair too
for history just repeats itself
and countries suffer too.

And so my dear America
You've proved a good host too
to let me see your magic world
and rainbow colours too.

Bye bye new friend
I carry tales so true
to share them with folks back home
and tell them what I know.
I'll miss you now perhaps
along with missing my dear son
with whom I spent three lovely months.....
some usual sprees and usual sights,
some places food and people new,
some excitement, some ennui,
photography and poetry,
all wrapped up in a pack
I 'm taking home with me-
