You in that dress
You in that dress

The inviatation a surprise, I hardly knew the groom

Why not, a summer wedding, a wedding held in June,

A village church, a posh hotel, the speeches and the wine,

And a decent happy couple, there going to be just fine.

BANG

You walked into the room, a casual evening guest,

and my heart hit my throat, oh wow what a dress.

Bright red and full flowing, hem just below the knee,

I desired you there and then, animal reaction not P.C.

It seemed to flow and ripple above ankle's high heeled

Chemically taken in my your full on sex appeal

Oh you caused quite a stir many eyes fixed on you

And I felt like a cave man but boy you were some view.

It took a moment to realise you had come alone

how can such a women me standing on her own.

Thought's of leaving gone, have at least to learn your name,

you were waiting behind the bar scrum, I found for you,

Champagne.

Overawed and tongue tied, I still moved pretty fast,

nicked from the top table, the bottle and the glass.

You saw we thieve and laughed  (you could have cut me dead.)

Couldn't believe I was talking to the women dressed in red.

We introduced ourselves, you seemed to like my cheek,

Verbally spared for a little , then took to a patio seat.

Knew you name in a minute,

By five where you lived,

By ten your silly nickname

Twenty the work you did.

You told me in thirty that you loved to swim and ski,

By sixty I was wondering, are you the girl for me?

I grew to love your face, and your cherry painted lips,

and still the dress intrigued as it draped across your hips.

I took you on the dance floor, rock & roll  then smoochy slow,

Hey your a little madam coming out commando!

We walked into the garden and somehow along the way

stumbled in summer house full of cushions which we lay.

What happened next, oh come on you know the rest,

All I will say, is I undressed the dress.

We danced again then laughed until dawn's first light

Then went in search for breakfast,

What a woman,

What a dress,

What a night.
