Lets pretend
Lets pretend

For a moment’s time,

Lets pretend that

A star in the night sky

Is a moment of happiness

Lets pretend

That a flower

In the garden of life

Is a shoulder to cry on

Lets pretend

That a suicidal thought

Is a little heartbeat

On a doctor’s monitor

Lets pretend

Every closed door

Is an open opportunity

Lets pretend your love

Is my lifetime supply

Of the cure to my disease

But then again…

We are just

PRETENDING…

Ericka... Wow. This poem reflects so much of your soul, so much of the battle that rages inside your head. I love the raw emotion, and the sense of vulnerability. So relatable. Love Sarah

wow! great emotional write! pretending is a touch of hope that parades in our mentals,a light of truth that we long for to feed our starvation of want..to free us from the negative to help focus on the positive to let it become our reality.,,.you are a star,..,.,bless you always my friend,,your friend and fan.,,.Rich
