Timeless Love
Timeless Love

So young and so in love,

But it truly was a love sent from above.

Struggle and strife were all part of life

For the young lovers and growing family.

Two children to love and raise

Through the rough world and haze.

Challenges were met hand in hand,

Conquiring the mountain together.

Others divorced, yet their love endured.

Timeless, beautiful, endearing, and sincere.

To this day their vows they honor,

Still like newlyweds; so in love.

A mighty oak would bow in amazement

At their strength, grace, and determination.

Not a day goes by that I don't marvel at how wonderful my parents' love for one another is.  They have been married for 36 years and literally still act like newlyweds....kissing, hugging, grabbing of butts.  LOL!  My mom was 15 and my dad 19 when they married.  They love to spend time together; no matter what it is they are doing.  They have been through many struggles, both emotionally and financially.  They've lost a child (my brother), brother, jobs, and yet they stand strong - always leaning on one another for stregth.  Their love is a beautiful thing!  They have shown me what real love is and what I want out of my own marriage.  And for that I will be forever grateful and always amazed.  :)
